At Travel next Door, we believe that adventure is the spice of life. So every year, we plan and host a road trip for adventurers; usually, a group made up of 3-5 individuals, participants travel across 3-5 states in Nigeria, visiting a number of pre-determined tourist attractions – mountains and markets, museums and monuments, waterfalls, and palaces to mention a few. Previous high points have included: Idanre Hills (Ondo State), Old Oyo National Park (Oyo State) and Mount Patti (Kogi State). The road trip also includes other forms of leisure, including visits to malls and cinemas (Where possible). It’s a loaded experience. This is not the typical tour package. There is no pampering of any kind; participants share all the trip expense (transportation, accommodation, admission fees, etc) and are responsible for their own upkeep for the period of the road trip.
Highlights: Ogunde Living History museum; Omu Forest Reserve; Okomu National Park; Ugbenu slave encampments; Benin Iyala Earthworks; Igun Street; Benin National Museum; Capt. Philips monument (Nr Benin)
